Bonnie Chivers
I am an NSA Registered Associate Nutritionist. I was born and bred in Williamstown, a beach side suburb of Melbourne. For this reason my soul is at its happiest when I’m near the ocean and luckily I found a soulmate with the same traits. When I'm not working, cooking, at a farmers market or riding my horse - we have our toes in the sand or are off on an adventure.

I love healthy food and absolutely LOVE teaching people how to use delicious, wholesome foods in ways they never thought they'd enjoy. There are so many simple meals and tricks that can transform your lifestyle and diet.

I have completed a Graduate Certificate and Masters of Human Nutrition and a Graduate Certificate in Health Research Practices. After coming from a non-science, non-health background I excelled in my studies and gained first classes averages. Which should show anyone that if you are passionate about something, you really can achieve amazing thing.
I have now started my PhD at MCHRI where our team will implement a healthy lifestyle program to Australian women during preconception, pregnancy and postpartum.

This journey began when my interest in food and disease was being fuelled by my family’s experience with bowel cancer. Both my dad and cousin battled the disease and I had endless chats with them about how we believed nutrition, lifestyle factors and stress may have contributed to their illness.

Dad and Ali are no longer here to witness where my journey ends up, but our family’s experience strengthened my love of “wellness” and nutrition science, and motivates me to teach people how to feed their body with the nutrients it needs to help prevent disease and live the best life they can.
